Terms of Service

Last updated: February 19, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using StackTerm, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the software.

2. License

A StackTerm license grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the software on any number of devices you own. The license is perpetual — it does not expire and includes all future updates at no additional cost.

3. Free Trial

StackTerm offers a 30-day free trial. No account or payment information is required to start the trial. After 30 days, a license purchase is required to continue using the software.

Each user is entitled to one trial period. Circumventing or resetting the trial — including but not limited to deleting application data, modifying configuration files, or reinstalling the software to obtain additional trial periods — is a violation of these terms.

4. Payments & Refunds

All payments are processed by Stripe. The license is a one-time purchase of $15 USD. If you're unsatisfied, contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the software.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except where permitted by law.
  • Share your license key publicly or with unauthorized users.
  • Circumvent, tamper with, or bypass the trial period, license validation, or any other technical protection measures.

6. Intellectual Property

StackTerm and all associated content — including the software, documentation, branding, and website — are the intellectual property of the author. Your license grants a right to use the software, not ownership of it.

7. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the software and delete all copies. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

8. Disclaimer

StackTerm is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackTerm and its author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the website.
